Creating a Dramatic Shift in your Life

Jan 11, 2024

I've gotten a few messages recently on Instagram that made me smile - great messages that also made me think:

I honestly love getting messages like this.

Mostly because I feel it. I can feel the calmness. I can feel the shifted energy. I can feel the vibes that I give off and it's not because I'm sharing a highlight reel.

In fact, I don't think I've ever really been one to show a highlight reel on my platforms.

After getting these message, I created this post

𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝟬𝟭/𝟬𝟲/𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟬:

as a part of my writing process, i’m going back through all of my old journals.
it’s been a powerful reminder that life hasn’t always felt beautiful.

in fact, the majority of my life has felt hard, like i’ve had to work my way through molasses.

i receive these beautiful messages and my brain silently responds with, “yeah, but it wasn’t always this way…” and my hands respond with, “…thank you, it feels that way.”

the truth is that i’ve worked for it.
the peace.
the calm.
the alignment.
the gratitude.
it all came slowly, not overnight.
it arrived as i worked my way through all of life’s obstacles shifting my thought patterns and old wired beliefs.

it came when i became unconvinced of the stories i was telling myself and got curious on who i needed to become.

It's that last part.

You truly want to know how I created such a dramatic shift in my life?

Not just once, but over - and over - and over again?

I had to outgrow old versions of myself. I know, easier said than done.

Going through my old journals has been really cool. I was telling my therapist about it because I found such excitement in reading page after page, seeing the exact moments when things had shifted for me.

My therapist called them "sparks" - she said, "It's like you're getting to see where the spark came that set you on a new course, a new trajectory."

That's exactly what it was.

There were so many points in my life where I went from depressed, overwhelmed & anxious into living excited, in forward motion.

This is honestly where my passion is now: helping others create these shifts.

I've had clients ask: "What do you do on down days? What do you do when those days throw you off for weeks?"

With a little bit of guilt in the back of my head, I respond with: "I honestly don't have those days anymore..."

And it's true. I feel like over the years I've created a toolbox full of tools, strategies, methods, and ways of thinking that have allowed me to pivot when I need to and move forward when it's necessary.

If you're unable to connect with me one on one for a session, I'll share a few steps I took to create the shifts to help you get started:

  • JOURNAL:

Don't lose me just yet, I understand if you don't identify as a "journaling person" but I have to tell you that this has been one of the most impactful tools I've had in shifting not on only my life but my thoughts, my reality, my vision, and my expectations. Through journaling I recognized some of the patterns I was stuck in and was able to brainstorm ways to move through them instead of living life stuck in them. I created a little mini course sharing my journaling strategy if you're curious.

  • VISION:

No, I'm not talking about dream cars and houses. I'm talking about taking your glasses off and putting on the ones that belong to the highest version of yourself. She is confident. She follows through. She sets goals and acts on them. She's living in forward motion. I walk my clients through this having them step into the shoes of their future self and ask what they see. That future you is living the life you want. You can use my Vision Builder tool to help prompt you through this visualization.

  • ACTION:

Build the bridge. What are the things you can start doing now? Grab a planner & start scheduling your day in a way that would make your future self proud. I teach my clients to time block their days, it's a strategy that I've used for years now and swear by. My productivity is through the roof while rest and recharge are also staples that are prioritized. There's insane power in action, even small tiny steps forward.

The life you're living now doesn't have to be it.

You have choices.
Options.

Deciding to act on these options is the hardest part. However, if your vision is clear enough, your entire being will feel pulled into it.

I'm here if you need support or an accountability buddy.

xx Raina
